Upper river is a bit warm with a surface release (300cfs) from Tahoe. @65 deg.
Flows in the canyon are 600 cfs or so.....and much cooler.
A two-hander is the tool down there. Long leaders, and lots...

These are clear flowing streams......250cfs - 350cfs.
I fish camo lines (dyed) or banded for the first 10ft of the line.
(Banded with a magic marker.) Breaks up the lines profile.....so we don't...

Breaking off at the split shot may be a bruised leader.
Pinch them gently....
A straightened hook generally means you tried to hold them, when they needed some more running room. ...
