Re: High Speed, Low Drag

Got rid of the whole shebang- use my smartphone (IPhone 4) as a hotspot. Saves me a bundle. $73/mo., all the talk and internet I want. And I carry it with me if I want.

Not worth it, IMO. Just not...

Re: Are crayfish patterns worth trying?

One of John Barr's later creations is the Meat Whistle. He said (in his book "Barr Flies") it's supposed to imitate a crawfish. Yes, it works, very well. I've used it as a "top" fly indy nymphing and...

Re: How does hot weather effect trout?

Keep in mind, trout feed at night- a lot. Bug activity, sunlight, and temps are but a few of the factors in the equation. Especially if it's a clear, moonlit night like we've had recently.

So,...

Re: Identify the bug / what patterns

Might wanna make sure they don't change color when they die. Seems like I've seen that somewhere. Don't Green Drakes become Rusty Spinners?

Re: You have to see one of these fires to understand.

Lived in NM then here in CO since 1990, oh yes, I understand. No getting away from it. A wall of flame is the meanest thing I've ever seen.

You and dawg doing OK with the smoke?
