If you can try other lines, I highly recommend the other 'normal' taper design line. The LT lines have a longer taper than normal. For small streams, you probably need a line that will load your rod...

My opinion is that we anglers spook trout more via poor casting, poor line management and poor positioning in the river relative to the quarry we are targeting than by the color of our fly rod blank....
