Tying some Vaskebjørne for a costumor. The big one is a size 4 and the other a size 8. For seatrout in saltwater.

Hi.

I'm looking for a saltwater streamer hook that's a little cheaper than TMC 777 but has the same profile. Doesn't have to be as long, just similar.

Just received the new set of jaws I ordered online. There's a world of difference between the two. So when I get the others back that I send in to Dyna-King, I'll have a set of jaws in spare. Not bad...

I'm not sure what you mean by the barb is preventing the hook from sliding down?
Maybe I should tighten the forcing cone more, but I hear so many people say they don't have any problems that there...

Partridge CS54 #6 & 8 slips allot. Partridge CS 11/1 #8 likewise and TMC 777 size 6 also slips.
Mustard C70sd #6 rock solid in the vise, same with Gamakatsu F314 size 4 & 2.
BTW. I always close...

Anyone have the same problem with hooks slipping when pushing up on the hook in the vise? Especially thin wired hooks. However it does not move at all when pushing down on the hook. I use the first...

I wasn't sure if you could tighten the screw that holds the pivoting arm (jaw arm)
About the true rotation. I don't use it to the fullest....
