Re: FOR SALE: Fly Rods and Reels
Tons of interest, lack of cash. If I had any money I'd be all over that Super 3N like a fat kid on a Twinkie , and that Sage ONE what a great deal.
My wife is already angry with me for the toys...

Re: In the market for a 3wt
Whatever you do make sure you get a rod that has blank colors to match Abel nippers hahaha see 21 page thread on nippers.
In all seriousness I've had Elkhorn, TFO and St Croix 3wts in that price...

Sorry for throwing one at you not on your list but I love my TXL 4wt. I have a few 9' 4wts a Zaxis and Legend Ultra. I find I use the 4wt TXL a lot on on windy days where I am using hopper dropper...

Re: Sage Fly Rod Cosmetics
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I can't wait to be holding any damn rod as long as I'm knee deep in a mountain stream with a size 18 parachute Adams as well as a 14" wild brown on the end of...

I will probably be no help here. I have the 390-4 ONE and I paired it with the Silver Nautilus FWX and it feels great, the reel is very nice and balances this rod well...

Re: Bauer MacKenzie CFX vs Galvan Torque
I can't comment on either in particular , I have Bauer Mckenzie MSL 2.0 on my Orvis Hydros 6wt and I love it.
I've owned Lamson, Sage, Ross, Nautilus, and they are all great but from a fit and...

Re: Sage Fly Rod Cosmetics
I don't know ,
I like the plain black look of my ONE, hanging a silver FWX looks great on it. My TXLf I think looks as good as it feels in my hand. When it comes to fly rods I tend to fall into...

Re: Sage Circa 479 or 489
Thank you Dagumer,
When I started out I had an all purpose rod and as the addiction increased so did the collection of specialty rods. I tend to have a rod or rods for certain places I fish.

Re: Finally got the new Sage One out today
You know I am not a beat on my chest , look at me I can cast far kind of guy. I would find trying to throw a size 22 nypmh alone problematic with a 4 or 5 wt. I took my Zaxis 4wt in to Cheeseman...

Re: Finally got the new Sage One out today
You are evil for suggesting a Circa :faint:
I might try Rio Grand one of these days if I find I can't live without it. I will really only fish this ONE on rivers that are 40+ feet wide and not...

First off, the tuning fork...

Re: What would you do?
Hell I'm weird, if I am catching fish ill show the guy what my setup is if he is friendly. I've even given guys flies out of my box if I'm really having a hot day on a fly they don't have.

Re: Orvis Battenkill mid arbor V (7wt question)
Cool thanks, I just didn't know much about these and how solid the drags are. If all goes according to plan I hope to get in to 28" + browns. Not knowing much I figured for $50 give it a shot....heck...
