I suggest you find a local dealer and go cast as many rods that fit your criteria...oh and make sure a Scott Radian is in the mix :D.

I owned a legend rod that had the wraps you described. It was an 8/9 weight that I bought in 1992. Overall it was a good steelhead rod.

Most 6 wt. rods with a fighting butt come with a full wells grip. It depends if you favor the full wells or a western style grip that often comes on rods without the fighting butt.
