Zingers or Retractors?

I use "Tie Fast" brand zingers. I have tried other brands & found them too weak. The "Tie Fast" are strong & of high quality.

They are also stronger than the built-in retractor on my Cabelas...

Re: How small is too small for a Wooly Bugger?

I've never considered tying buggers that small, but I can picture them using ostrich or cactus chenille. I have a lot of ostrich, hmmmm.

Re: TFO Lefty Kreh TiCr X Series 8wt and 12wt rods?

I had a TiCrX 5wt and it was a broomstick to me. I gave it away to one of my sons. For him, the price was right.

Re: Rio Gold fly line at over 50% off

I ordered WF-5-F line. I generally like lines with long rear tapers. They seem less likely to hinge when I have a lot of line out for a long cast. Mend easier too.

I have a Hardy DD6000 that I use on a 9' 5wt rod (not a Zenith).
Balances perfectly.

Mastery Textured Series Chard's Grand Slam
