I am going to give it a try. I am visiting my parents Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. I plan on LIR for one trip and the LMF for the other. Getting ready to go to MI and chase some salmon!

Great to hear. I am originally from Oklahoma, but I didn't fly fish when I lived there. I usually go to the Illinois when I am in for the holidays. Thinking about giving LMF a try!

I would actually suggest darker colors in muddy water. I have had great luck with black. In pea soup water, green also works well. I think a lot of it is also figuring out where the fish relocate...

Nothing like taking a brown trout on a dry! For me, that is the pinnacle of my fly fishing experience. I just caught a nice one on a caddis that the brown destroyed!
