I very much agree with either the PHY Perfectionist or the Payne 100 tapers. Both are outstanding and classic. There are several modern makers of this taper that do them extremely well.

I own and do fish with graphite BUT there is nothing quite like fishing with cane. Fly fishing in and of itself is a rather ethereal experience for me and adding the beauty and feel of a well made...

Just like Jack Daniels it is filtered through a charcoal bed. By law it is Tennessee Whiskey when it is so treated and not bourbon.

Most of the guides out west use them. Of course they may have gotten them from reps rather than buying them. Quite a few of those guys said that they wouldn't want to be without them.

Idaho's Henry's Fork and the rivers around Bozeman, Montana have provide me with lifetime memories. I see no reason to ever go anywhere else. Many of my dreams have come true in those two locations.

That line might work perfectly well for you on your bamboo. The only way to know is to put it on and try it and some others as well. I have found that each rod be they bamboo, glass, or graphite...

Welcome. A little research will reveal that most will recommend a 5wt rod but a little digging will convince you that the 6wt is probably the best bet if you are going to limit yourself to just one...

I just hard my first experience with Redbreast 12 an Irish whiskey made in the old traditional single pot still. Rivals many single malts in my opinion. Good stuff!

I enjoy most whiskeys except Canadian whiskey. The most exciting Scotch to me in the last year or so has been the Bruichladdich "Laddie 10".
