Re: Merry Christmas!

I am hoping everyone has and is having a great Christmas. I finally (officially) received my tying gear, pretty stoked to catch my first trout on one of my own.

Re: What is your definition of a "fly"?

Gotta say this does it for me. I would say anything formed would be more of a lure. Flies are definitely tied.

Re: Nymph Tie-Along?

I have a confession to make. My tying gear is supposed to be a Christmas gift, but I broke into it once already to do the PTN, I will try to sneak one more session to tie up a few hares ears...

Re: A First Annual NAFFF Conference / Meeting;

I think this would be a great time. Like most others time and location would be the biggest factors.

Re: Top 10 Flies

Hey Doc, welcome to the forum, seems like a good opening post. I am fairly new to Fly Fishing myself so I would be hard put to list 10 flies, but I will say I like Wooly Buggers, Hares Ear Nymphs...

Re: Nymph Tie-Along?

Thanks, I did tie up 1/2 dozen yesterday, 3 #14's and 3 #16's, they did start to look better, but overall I am pretty happy with my first attempts.
