Re: Best Location to Mouse for big Trout?

Hi,

We use them here; I had a fellow at the beginning of august bring up some rainbows as large as 2 foot with mice. Some streams and rivers are better than others it seems. The number of fish has...

Re: Phillipson Swamp Fox SF76

The value or price one is willing to pay for an old Phillipson is a personal limit. I have had one and it was a wonderful rod to fish with. Mine was in new condition and I believe I paid 175 for it.

If You Haven't Done It, Take 30 Seconds...

I saw another post about a lost tackle bag today. If you haven't bothered to write your name and phone number down and stick it in your pack - bag - box, it may get you back some lost items someday....

Re: Mono, Flouro or Both?

I'm using flouro right now because I bought a bunch from John to support CFR. The 02X is thinner than 15 pound Ultra Green and once I got my knots in order it is working just swell. Just yesterday I...

Re: Fly Tying Materials Fair Market Value????

Pricing is the easy part, selling it all and getting the money will take time unless she finds someone to take the lot. I would settle on a price, I saw a post quoting 8,000.00...

Re: Ferrule tapeing

I don't tape, my rods don't come apart. The rods don't break while landing fish and seldom do I have to check / tighten the ferrules. Everyone should do what gives them confidence but if the rod is...

Re: Aluminum Pliers?

Generally a pair of forceps will remove hooks from fish and even crush a barb when needed. I have Dr. Slick Pisces style for the tough jobs, they cost 22.00 and seem to be good pliers. I only need...

Re: "Deliverance", without the sex

If you get serious about oars you would need to ask the canoe manufacturer for a trade in on the rear seat. That seat is hung with those drilled ash pieces from carriage bolts. For oars you want the...
