While the Orvis blanks make a very fine build, I find the biggest drawback, is that there is no warranty on any blank that is not an Orvis factory build

The birdseye maple is probably a bit more subtle in looks than the curly maple.

Actually the Lemke seats are not as high priced as you might think and they definitely fall under the 50.00 range considerably unless it is the Titanium version.

The majority of the Lemke seats I sell for the spey rods are generally the LC25 (.740) and the LC26 (.812) These can be installed in either the uplocking or downlocking position. And yes both seats...

All you have to do is dremel it out a small amount to fit the LC25, I have people do it all the time

I would use 9 #1's, a #4, a #6, and a number 10 doublefoot stripper on that build. There is absolutely no reason to stairstep the guides, all it will do is add weight to the build, and it will not...

Since I reside and my rod building busines is in Arizona,I build quite a few 6'6" to 7''6" 2 and 3wt rods for the people fishing the majority of the small streams and creeks up there
