Re: Compare Mystic Reaper vs. TFO BVK in an 8 or 9 wt

I recently purchased a BVK and just LOVE this fly rod.

Most reviews say to over line the rod so I bought a 6wt with the intention to put 7wt line on.

Re: Line for TFO BVK 6wt?

Update:

I purchased the 7wt RIO Atlantic Salmon line. Last night I went out to cast it for the first time on my new rod.

I really like the setup.

Re: Line for TFO BVK 6wt?

Thanks. I am thinking of using Rio Steelhead line, one weight higher.

Any thoughts on that line? I am torn between rio gold, steelhead or rio indicator.

Line for TFO BVK 6wt?

I recently purchased a BVK 6wt.

First off, I LOVE this rod so far. It had really helped tighten up my loops and distance.

Here is my question:

Salmon Fishing in Yemen was pretty good. A little slow at first. They could have put more fly fishing in the film in my opinion but its good overall.
