Sowbugs are a must for below the tailwater size 16-18. Very important in that section. I would recomend you go small if you fish any bwo's as the fall BWO's are much smaller than the spring hatch....

Update for ya. Went up the canyon yesterday, flows dropped quite a bit and the clarity was decent, 2-3 feet I would say. Hooked 10 landed 6. I was ussing a chubby chernobyl with a golden stone...

Try the Blue through Silverthorne. The tailwater runs literally right through the outlets. It's the best of both worlds! BIG FISH and BIG SAVINGS!

I would make sure to include olive in those colors as well. I fish them primarily in olive and red. I would not go so far as to say the big t is back. Fish counts below olympus for the first 7 miles...

Were you talking about Overland Trail rd? Taft Hill Rd does not offer access and is private, as is the water between Taft and Overland( some of it is public at butterfly woods but you aren't allowed...

I do believe there is some ice free areas in the canyon after talking to a guy yesterday. otherwise through town is completely ice free. Fish are in the deep pools right now so getting to one early...

I bought a Kraken at the show in denver. Great reel! Was dissapointed thought that reel froze up on me when the temperature is below 20 degrees out. Please install a heater in all of your new reels.
