I know exactly what you mean.. I started fly fishing when I was only 11 years old. I lived on my grandparents property and we had a small creek that led into a local fishery running through our back...

Waders vs. Shorts

When I was growing up I was always told not to use waders because they present a potential drowning hazard and to just tough it out..

I personally fish in shorts and flip flops even in the cold...

I have 6 total. 1 3wt 3 5wt (two of them are 7' and one is 9') 1 8wt (9') and I'm not sure about the last one (only that it's 7').. In fact I should post it one of these days to get some info on it.....

To RR: Oh nice. I've caught many a carp, never on a fly rod though... They fight like crazy that's for sure. I'm sure it was a challenge getting that big boy to the shore.

Shakespeare Wonderod.... They are a fiberglass rod and kind of old school but I like them. They are fairly inexpensive but cast like a dream.

Actually you just have to set it to wind to the point you want and the spring gains torque every time you...
