Here are 2 of the Plano boxes I bought for my first SW outing. I glued 6mm foam in each half and cut the foam to hold the flies.

I left a box on the bank one day, returned & found it - luckily. Now I put a strip of neon pink tape on the front & back of every box.

Vest, waders, boots, flies, PFD w/cartridge, knife, Leatherman, etc. all go in checked bag.

Buy a carry-on roller...

Check out the Michigan DNR web site. Go to Fishing, then choose to sign up for the weekly emails. Action on many Michigan rivers & lakes is updated by region.
