Depending on the size (and color) it could either be a Bullethead Skwala (Olive)

I have not seen those particular beads around in quite a few years. There was a fly shop in Bozeman, Four Corner's Fly Shop, that had a lot of patterns tied with those beads...they are no longer...

I'm glad this subject was brought up. It reminded me that I need to tie up some la fonte wobble-rite Caddis Pupa, a pattern that I came across in Chuck Fothergill's Shop in Aspen, CO many years ago....

Rene Harrop, who ties a few flies using CDC, notes that most tiers (when tying dry patterns) do not use enough CDC...The more CDC in contact with the water surface, the better the fly will float.
