Re: The Rivers Clearwater, Selway, and Lochsa in Idaho

I said I would post a couple of photos, but now that I look at them I see there's little perspective to illustrate the shallow depths.

The first is the Clearwater River just below its beginning...

Twice a year my wife and I perform our version of "Ride and Tie" out here on our local Public Lands. It's an area I take my hunting dog for her daily workouts and the place where we park is...

I'm a frequent visitor to this Forum but an infrequent contributor. Nevertheless, welcome. There's much information here.

Re: Ocean on the brink of collapse

That is a considerable improvement. I was attempting to get something closer to the '70s famines Ehrlich was speaking about (I think).

And the statistics about obesity are not surprising. Last...

Re: Ocean on the brink of collapse

I read Ehrlich's book as well. I was thirty-one at the time.

Given that according to UNICEF "...10.9 million children under five die in developing countries each year. Malnutrition and...

Re: YOU ARE NOT DOING YOUR PART! Drink more beer.

Soon, if you're drinking one of the mass-produced beers from one (or two) of the mega-brew-companies you won't be able to tell the difference.

See HERE...

I'm excused. I don't live in NC and don't drink Miller nor Coors. Not when we have so many good micro-brews around us.

Re: Best Location to Mouse for big Trout?

I don't have much to add except I've used mouse patterns on many rivers throughout the western U.S. and Canada. My first experience was in Alaska on the Kisaralek River during August (ergo not much...

Re: Problem with website

I'm wondering how often forum users perform—or have performed routinely—a "disk clean up", i.e. get rid of cookies, temporary internet files, etc. If one does a lot of internet browsing those pesky...

Re: Fish gripper grap tool or glove?

I agree here. It's been years since I've handled a fish to release it. [Hang on, before the jokers come on and say you have to hook fish before you release them. :)]

In 1987 a guide for our float...
