I like Hardy's pawl/spring for trout but cork for the bigger stuff--Abel and Tibors.

I bought a spool of lead fuse wire that works very well for weighting flies. 3 amp is about right. I split it with a friend and after 20 yrs i'm getting down to the bottom of it.

Im back---albie conditions werent the best but i did manage to hookup a 30# amberjack on a big crease fly---woohoo:D

I was severely undergunned with a 10 wt but it was fun to watch it eat the fly...

I just bought a 10 wt NRX that I will be taking to Cape Lookout at the end of the month ---It does great on land and I'm sure it will live up to the hype with a clouser on it.

The bigger ones are hex and i think the smaller mayflies are brown drakes, They usually hatch separately but they came off at the same time this year. They both generally hatch at night the times...

i never buy spare spools--i have spare reels and i have also carried spare lines on saltwater trips in ziplock bags as well as shooting heads--spare spools make sense to me if you dont have a spare...

My highschool friend lives in Grangeville and the Clearwater runs through his ranch--They did have a pretty good run of fish--a couple weeks ago he said they counted 400 fishermen in 7 or 8...

I put a Sharkskin on my 10wt Scott s3s after my intermediate line got damaged while albie fishing---It was very impressive! It did everything well and gave me a few extra feet of distance.
