It really depends on the size of water you fish. I tube Perris all the time and the majority of my fishing time is from 10am to 2 pm so I've seen plenty of 100+deg days and really haven't noticed...

The Hawkeye is another piece of ****. Don't bother with the smartcast either. I wouldn't even bother with any of the from shore type finders.

For your kayak just get a Piranha Max 175 or whatever...
