Lamson could be good...so could dozens of other ones.

Don't worry about the balance thing, worry about what you want from a reel and what type of fish you plan on catching with.

It really depends on the situation for me. If I am on a boat or fishing from shore, I would probably have 2 rods set up with different styles of flies.

If I am wading though, it's a 1 rod journey...

I've got one of those tied up as well.

There are several lakes where I am going and each one tends to have it's most productive color patterns. One lake tends to work best with firetiger...

Good points, Ted and I happen to be of the mindset that if one or the other is good, then both must be best. This fly is loaded with flash )over 80 strands total combining krystal flash and mylar...

Whipped up a couple of flies for musky hunting this weekend. One of the lakes has abundant gizzard shad that the musky like to snack on so I figured this would fit the bill for them toothy critters. ...
