Re: Redington CT 2wt and I fished today

My co-worker has that rod and won't shut up about it. I think it's the only rod he's going to use this year.

If you don't need something ASAP, the Orvis Battenkill Bar Stock reels go on sale often for less than $100.

Re: Filson strap vest

I bought the Foul Weather Strap Vest last fall. I do enjoy it, but I recently purchased the Orvis Sling Pack. I'm still relatively early in my fly fishing career, so I haven't figured out which I...

Re: If you could be air-dropped to fish anywhere in America....

I'd like to fish one of the big rivers out west. Maybe Yellowstone. Somewhere secluded and quiet.

Re: Testing out the GoPro

That's great feedback. Do you think the chest mount would get in the way with my sling pack?

Re: Special Consideration? Rig For Wife?

My wife goes fishing with me, but doesn't have much interest in actually fishing. She'll sunbathe and read a magazine. Perfectly fine with me. I don't want her to be better than me!

Re: Favorite food on the water

Usually it's gatorade and trail mix (peanuts, almonds, raisins, and chocolate) or a snickers for me. Sometimes I'll grab beef jerky. If I'm fishing in the morning I have to have coffee. I also...

Re: What is wrong with my roll cast?

I like the video, but I disagree with the meat cleaver analogy. One of the Rajeff brothers uses a wet paint brush to demonstrate. To throw water in a straight line you need to flick the brush...

Line for bamboo rod

I just picked up my first bamboo rod. It's a 6'6" 3 wt. I'm wondering what kind of line to use. Should I be looking at DT?
