Re: Payette River

Another knot question?

Okay, Iím not sure how to ask this. Looking at the double surgeon knot and the clinch knot to tie the fly to the tippet. Does the loop in the double surgeon give the fly a more natural look and...

Re: Will textured fly line hurt your guides?

With the rods I have seen in my rod builders shop having guides redone, I think I'll stay away from the textured line. Maybe it is I'm cheap, why tear up guides and then have to pay to rebuild a rod.

Re: A good place to buy flies?

I have a friend that ties, I trade her parts and labor when she needs something done for fly's. She enjoys tying and I have a hard time setting that long to try it. It works out for both of us. Maybe...

Re: traveling with a lot gear

I ship out a lot of boxes at times for work. Any where from 10 to 50 boxes at a time and to the same place. If you have more then 4 or 5 boxes, I'd box everything up and ship all on a pallet. It is...

Re: Snowbee or?

bmbailes, I think in time I would be fine with the CGT as well. I just need to get my feet wet and then look at it again. I do believe it is a rod that you love or hate it.

Looked at the CGT reviews. I agree some are very harsh. $75 is not a bad price by any means. Looked at the Allen and the reviews on there sight is good @ $99 is not bad as well. The CZN is on sale...
