Re: Sage Rod Chart Old to New

Agreed on the thread and the comment... Though I'm guilty of finding gently used rods on the big auction site and sometimes am blown away.

Just spent two days pounding banks in Arkansas with...

Re: CorQ's...another indicator...

OK, so I want to give this thread a bump and get some real-life testimonials if possible... I saw these in the TU mag and thought "why the heck not"

All kidding/snappy quipping aside... For those...

Re: Why buy high end?

I wish it were different, but my best friends don't fly fish. But I love high end gear more than the cheap stuff. It looks nice and makes me feel connected to the past... Fine cork just feels...

Re: Dead drift streamer

This is probably the #1 tactic on the closest trout stream to me... The Blue River in OK. Deadly, stripping almost never works. Confounded me, but now I primarily fish it with a creation like you...

Re: More than Furled Leaders, save $$$ on Tippets, tools and more.

I'm placing an order, have never used furled leaders before and probably haven't because I don't know how, but I'm gonna learn

Re: Masked fishermen

I must say I don't think so... My dad is 80, and they just took half of his nose and a huge deep chunk of his cheek on the same side, had to do a major facial reconstruction. He played outside all...

Re: The Fly Fishing Lanyard - Pros/Cons

I mostly roll with a lanyard for things I need most handy... Tippett, nippers, dry fly whatever enhancer, hemos, sunglass rag, and a built in fly changer one each side that just some foam wrapped...

Re: Plans After School?

You might be surprised... I'm sure there are areas where this is true, but if you are flexible it's really not that hard. I found it to be almost too easy,Chas looking for a shop job and one of the...

Re: Orvis CFO III by Hardy

Agreed here as well, that is in great shape... I have the exact one mated to a 4711 LL, one of my dad's old rigs that he luckily passed down to me early so I can fish it with him now while he's still...

Re: Classic Sages?

I've got my eye out for one of these for sure, very thought to find though... I have a 279 and 4711, really need a 3 wt. LL and this one fits the bill as far as being that 3 wt that I'm able to last...

Polar Ignitor... The best lens tint ever for redfish??

So I've heard that the Polarchromic Ignitor from Smith is the best lens for spotting redfish on the flats... I know that for someone who doesn't fish in salt as often as I'd like, it's hard to adjust...

I love my 4711 LL, by far my favorite dry fly rod. Not as heralded as the 389, but it's my choice :wavetowell

Re: 3 wts. For sale

Well, the site doesn't want to let me upload the pics... they're big and detailed files, probably too big given the size constraints and I'm not sure how to make 'em smaller. Here is a link to a...
