Re: what am I doing wrong?

I have one rite bobbin and 4 ceramic bobbins. I wont buy anymore rite bobbins, not that there's anything wrong with them other than they cost way more. Just keep practicing.

Re: How long does it take from your home to the water?

1.25 hrs to my closest trout fishing then 3.5 hrs. Oklahoma only has 2 year around tailwaters for trout and then its either Missouri or Arkansas.

Re: Illinois River Trout Fishing

They stocked a bunch of small browns. Those guys are now mainly 9-10" fish now. They did stock some bigger browns, I think 2012, I got one that was 15" and heard reports of a few that were bigger.

Re: Recommend a Reel to Balance CT 9044

Balanced at what point? All the line on the spool ? 30' off the spool? I don't worry about it. 4wt rod, 4wt reel, I'm good to go.

Re: Stike Indicator Help

When I'm not a line watcher, I use either floatmaster indicators, a dry fly or a pinch on palsa. Depends on my situation on what I use.

Re: Skill level- Dries vs nymphs.

Have to get good drifts with both to catch fish but identifying what they are actually taking could be tricky on multiple hatches. Im not a novice but im definitely not a jedi when it comes to fly...
