Re: 9ft 5w rod small stream spey fly line?

Scandi lines will work well to roll cast, Skagit lines are another story due to the short head length/ heavy grain weight.

Re: Using Yarn as an Indicator?

Why not use a larger fly (as an indicator) and trail your midge behind it?

Re: What do you need to fish?

As much gear as I may have I always find myself going as bare bone as the situation allows. A couple flys and a rod is more than suffeciant at times.

Re: Waders vs. Shorts

Summer= Shorts
Winter= Waders

Bush wacking in the summer= quick dry pants to keep my legs from getting all scratched up

While in my float tube I almost always wear waders no matter the season

Re: Floating line... WF or DT

I tend to use WF more fequently however, DT lines have their place in my arsenal. I shy away from the super fast ubber cool rods that everyone seems to want these days so DT works fine.

Re: How Many Fly Rods Do You Own

Re: uses for old neoprene waders?

Take them to a sew shop and have the waders made into cozies and/or reel cases. You could probably make enough of each to get a profit to go towards buying a new pair of waders!

Re: How to attach backing to fly line: Best knot??

Light fly line (1-6 wt) just tie a perfection loop and make a loop to loop connection with the built in loops. Heavier weight lines, cut the factory loops tie in your own, stronger loop and again use...
