I happened to be near Lake Placid, NY this weekend, and stopped among other places at the Hungry Trout Shop on Hwy 86, near Wilmington. Bought the Prof Bobkin SMT Holder.

Permitted hooks on Salmon River, Pulaski,NY

Are the double salmon hooks allowed on the Salmon River, be it from Altmar to SDR?

Going to tie some flies and just want to be sure if they should be on single and/or double hooks.

Pack with water and fish weighs around 40-60 pounds. No real problem if straps set properly for balance, but you still have to take it easy when going down steep hilly slopes, and those were many....

My fiberglass rod is an "Expert Algonquin 2 piece model 03 715, 8' 6" AFTMA 8, and reel is a Daiwa SF 708 LW 7-8-9.

No the 28+ gear is a fiberglass rod 7/8 wt and the reel has three spools (floating, floating with sinking tip, and sinking line). Still works.

The new 8 & 5 wt are new. GLoomis rods and Waterworks...
