Re: Korkers Alumatrax problems?

Re: What have you been tying today?

I work in a theater and it's dance recital season. So lots of little girls with multi-colored feathers on their costumes are running around.

I grabbed a few pink ones off the floor and tied some...

Re: What have you been tying today?

I've never posted here before. I've been tying flies for about 2 years so I'm very much a beginner, maybe intermediate at best.

Tried a float tube for the first time

And it was pretty cool! I didn't catch a dang thing. Not sure I even rigged up the fly rod correctly. But I had fun. It's relaxing and I can see why people dig it.

That's all... just wanted to say...

Re: Flies for Colorado

I'd go with a selection of black midge nymphs, flashback nymphs, some bead head emergers to use as droppers off a dry fly (usually something flashy and thin), and Adams flies, some parachute...

Re: Looking for a specific underwater video

This is all such good stuff!!!

Question: Do you need those special Czech nymphs to make this work? Or will a bead head prince or a stone fly do the same thing?

Re: Looking for a specific underwater video

Is nymphing without a bobber as simple as just letting it drift? Do you put weight on there too? Sorry for the dumb questions.

Re: Looking for a specific underwater video

I wish you could show me how to nymph without a bobber. Nobody has shown me the way.

Re: Importance of snow out west?

Yes, it used to rain every afternoon in the Spring. Not anymore. The climate is changing and the west is getting dryer.

In addition to the drinking water supply, snow pack also helps control...

Re: Is there a reason for a longer rod?

This whole discussion just makes me want to try a longer rod and see if I like it. Looks like I'll start saving up for one.
