when it comes to smallmouth or largemouth basically anything that resembles a minnow will induce a strike. So to answer your question, yes I have caught quite a few with typical trout streamer's.......

The mudhole mhx's will be a nice medium to medium fast in the lighter weights, as soon as you step up to 4 and above they become fast action. Great blanks!

Davo, It's funny that you mentioned orvis.... I actually work for Orvis in Milwaukee and gave a seminar on tying EP flies, but thank you anyways! They have a bunch of great information on the orvis...

most lines will work for bass fishing, all depends if you want a floating or sinking line. Bass tapers are nice if they are overlined with their short head.
