Anyone been fishing there lately? I haven't been there in a couple of years but am taking my new travel trailer to Greenleaf for a test run. Thought I might drive over there to kill some time late...

Re: who uses waders all the time?

I used to wet wade mostly in the hot summer, and still do occasionally. Since I got a set of wading pants I now usually use them. At my age I rarely wade deep so they work for me most of the time. ...

Re: So whata do you anglers do now winter approaches?

Fish!:) I used to tent camp for Elk in nights below -30. I know how to sleep warm and the days here rarely get bad enough to stop fishing. I even get out in a boat on a big windy lake and Crappie...

Re: Simms vest

I have an older Simms Guide vest and it is slightly smaller than my BPS mesh vest. I tried it on and actually liked it better because of the way it felt on my shoulders. Mine doesn't have a zipper...

Re: fiber glass rod

That would probably be an FF807. Mine is the second heaviest rod I have and doesn't get used much. I mostly use it when fishing out of my boat for larger bass. A much better (for the OP's needs)...

Re: fiber glass rod

There were a few that were "dogs" but many are quite good. What model do you have? I have to admit I use my TFO ltd. and Diamondglass rods more than my Fenwicks but I have some that would make...

Re: fiber glass rod

I have several Fenwicks and a few newer glass rods. Use them 99% of the time for everything.

Re: whose got kayaks?

After many years in canoes I went with a Native Ultimate 12. It's really a hybrid - more canoe than kayak. Love the stability and no problem at all to fly fish from (but I have fished lots from a...
