Re: Hat in my hand asking for help

I have that jacket and am happy with it. The cuffs are 10X better than my Cloudveil. One thing to keep in mind, it is just a shell so size accordingly allowing room to layer under it in cooler...

Re: I just can't see it !

What power readers do you use? I use 1.5X cheaters for everyday use and 3.0X for tying which works well. The 4" focal length is closer than you would actually be to a fly. If you try the cheap...

Re: Re-purposed ski pole for a wading staff

A couple of winters ago I was bored and decided to see if I could build one of the collapsible ones just for kicks. I used a couple of old golf club shafts (need more than one so the sections can...

Re: Rod Combo?

Okay, here is the first option that popped into my head. St. Croix Imperial, Orvis Battenkill, Rio Gold line. $15 over your budget. There are tons of options.

Re: Little tricks to share

If you use a profile plate try using a cheap 8x10 picture frame instead of something that clamps on the vise stem. You can move it wherever you want, change color with just a piece of paper and it...

Re: Bug Luggage Warranty?

This thread reminds me, I left a voice mail about a broken box a couple months ago. I'm still waiting to hear back. :( I better follow up, it could be spring here in a couple more months.

Both GVX (quicker) and BiiT (slower) models are on closeout. Both are high quality rods, made in America and can be had for under your budget.

Re: Just won an Orvis Battenkill II Disc...

HaHa, I've been sitting as high bidder on another Winston 4 wt for the past couple days. I am hoping someone outbids me on over the next couple days. I'm a sucker for a good deal whether I need the...

Re: Fingernail polish

Re: Sage Click Reel

Agree with your shop, I went with the TR2 on my 486 one. I first fished it with an old CFOIII which was just a bit too light at around 3.6 oz. I am primarily concerned with static balance when the...

Here's mine. I didn't go with the lightest reel though. This one weighs significantly more than the Click, 4.3oz IIRC.
