Re: Headed to Sevierville, TN for a wedding...

True. I found great success with dapping. (Even have caught a few larger—but not much—than those in Hokie's photos. :) )

Re: "Deliverance", without the sex

Want a full report after the trip. I don't see an "envy" emoticon, so I'll use this one. :D

Re: Headed to Sevierville, TN for a wedding...

I concur with hokiehunter's comments. It's been three years since I fished Little River out of Maryville but I can tell you from six years experience when I was an undergrad at Maryville College...

Re: Smartphone apps

^^^This post from mmmichael looks a bit suspicious to me. Maybe I'm wrong. It's showing up word for word on other forums.

Re: "Deliverance", without the sex

Well, I can say there're a few things NOT on my Bucket List any more: running with the bulls in Pamplona, climbing the Eiger, single-handing a vessel through Lava Falls. All were there at one time....

Out this a.m. with my dog and visibility here is <1 mile. We shortened our peregrination.

Re: Trip west

Sorry you're having to postpone your trip west, rockriver but if you look at THIS LINK (http://activefiremaps.fs.fed.us/data/lg_fire/lg_fire_nifc_2015-08-21.png) for the current active fires you'll...

Re: Fire update

Larry, our air quality has been in the "Unhealthy" stage for three days and we're looking at another three days before any relief. I'm so reluctant to complain about this given the severity of the...

Re: Fire update

We have so many fires burning here in Idaho that it's hard to know just which one you're referring to with "Boise area". The ones in the immediate area of Boise [see HERE...

Re: Fishing Vehicle

I see the current bid is $84K +. I won't be surprised to see it sell for >$100K.

Re: Air quality index just on the TV.

I think most of our smoke here in Shoshone is from the Soda fire (nearly 300K acres), but there have been a couple of smaller ones nearer Boise. Visibility here this a.m. is <4 miles. The westerlies...

Re: Fly shop robbed

I wonder if this gear is more apt to show up at weekend flea markets and outdoor-gear "shows". It seems to me Ebay and Craigslist are easy to monitor and track. Of course it's also possible that I'm...

Thank you Larry. I did everything correctly up to the "little yellow icon". Thanks for the help with both the photo and instruction.

Re: Kelly Creek (Idaho)

Thank you both for your replies. I'm not surprised to hear about low water/high temps. I've been dealing with that in several of our local rivers.

I do have good maps, including a Benchmark©...

Re: Kelly Creek (Idaho)

Thank you, B.E.F., for your reply. The last time I drove in five years ago was prior to a couple of fires and, as I understand it, one or two slide/washouts on the road in. I believe the hard parts...

Kelly Creek (Idaho)

Just wondering if anyone has made the trek into Kelly Ck. within the past five years (the last time I was there).

Thanks in advance.

Just returned from that part of the country (Island Pk to YNP).

I always carry bear spray. Used it once about four years ago practically in my back yard when three St. Bernards attacked my bird...

Re: clearwater/selway

The Magruder is a great drive. Lots of history along that road, but I don't have in on my list of favorite "fishing" roads. There's a short stretch along the Selway, or you can extend that by driving...

Excellent trip report. It confirms once more why I love fly-fishing. Trout live in such beautiful areas. Location, location...well, you know what I mean.

Thanks.

Re: South fork of snake, Idaho

I agree about waiting until after the Labor Day weekend. Being retired, we have the benefit of going to waters during slack periods, so maybe suggesting you do the same is presumptuous. If you have...
