I honestly think the Coke thing is a joke, there is nothing in Coke that would cause the blood to clot, or in anyway stop bleeding in general.

If you are doing a dry knot would be my first thing. I either spit a ton on it or hold it in the stream, but I just bought some Trout Hunter and my last outting lost about 4 flies due to knots...

Just get Korkers if you want to change soles. I have found my rubber with studs always works for where I fish though.

I have the Hardy 4000DD in black and love it. I dont use my Zenith much since I am in love with the flying pig rod, but it works great no there, but I go with looks before anything on a trout rod...

I have been tempted to buy this reel several times, but just never pull the trigger. It is a good looking reel, but like what was said above, Abel and Hatch definitely have the advantage over Ross....

Same never used a bobber before. Mainly cause I am lazy and dont want to put one on. My leader from Joni though has a brighter color on it which helps so I can see it.

I tried a SA 9ft fluoro leader and that thing sucked, it took forever to straighten and caused me way to much headache to ever use that ****...
