Re: Question for the float tube guys

Don't want to be too graphic, but I'd like ideas.

I fish from a float tube; kicking with fins (no motor). It's sometimes 20 minutes to shore and back, and I hate to leave a productive location...

Re: made in China lines

I love my Toyota. But it's JAPANESE made, and Japan is not China.
Granted, the Japanese cars were far better than those from America during the 1970s. They raised the bar of all car production in...

Re: Tippet Ring Knot

COME OVER TO THE DARK SIDE!!

I've started using them for double-nymph setups (one 8" and one 15" long). Uni-knots.

BTW, you're not cool if you're not using rings! :D

Re: First Carribean trip (Belize): gearing up questions

Lycra might be to hot for wading. I've fished in Belize ~ 30 trips since 1996. Most of my wading there (and most anywhere in Caribbean) is in water knee-deep or less. I wear lycra for diving, but...

Re: Gatcha! Bonefish Fly - Most popular fly for bonefish?

Great for grassbeds of Belize. Difficult without weedless in many areas.

Re: Hebgen Lake

Best of luck to you, Goodtimes 2.
Save me a few fish in Hebgen. I fished there during the first half of June, and will be back for late August. LOTS of big Rainbows there. Fun fishing as long as...

Re: Missoula and Glacier area

I've always carried on my 4-piece rod (in a case). That plus my backpack -- never a problem. The rod case fits in overhead behind baggage, so shouldn't be an issue. Call to ask.

Re: Backcountry Lamar River Valley

I'll be fishing the Lamar Valley starting August 16th. Hopefully the flows increase by then.

Will let you know what I find there. The hoppers should be hopping big-time, so bring some big flies!...
