Re: Streamer Box

I use a bugger barn for my streamers, pretty much the only box I carry when going out for smallies as I don't have a need for all of my trout flies. Great stuff, enough room so that those nicely tied...

Re: Shoot Off Of Barbed/De-Barbed Hooks

Personally, I crush the barbs on my hooks just to save my own hide when I get hooked while afield. I say when because for as much fishing as I do and being 21, I have a lot of time left fishing to...

Catskills Trip

Hey guys, I spent the last weekend in the Catskills fishing the Beaverkill and Willowemoc Creek. The fishing was epic, easily the best weekend of fishing I've had. Earlier in the week, they had a...

Thanks A.J., I'll be in Michigan for most of the summer, but when I return in August we should get out and do some fishing.

Re: Catskills this weekend

My schedule is rather flexible, but I'd only be able to head your way for a day trip, maybe monday or tuesday of next week. Where are you in PA? I'm up in Ithaca, NY

Re: Anyone want to fish FingerLakes/Catskills

I've never really fished for steelies much, maybe I'll have to give it a go here soon, as long as its not too much of combat fishing. Fishing elbow to elbow has been my biggest turnoff thats...

Re: Fly Fishing holydays for an European guy.

I'd have to say Montana or Northern Michigan if I were coming across the pond. If you're looking for steelies stay away from the salmon river in new york, the fish are nice, but its so packed up...

Re: Fly box follies

I too have lost a fly box. I spent all spring filling it with nymphs and dries for the summer on the trout stream. A small cheap fly box, but still a minimum of 100 flies in there. I went and fished...
