I usually run 5x tippet.... I have tried to move split shot around and does seem to help. I have noticed if im not dragging bottom I usually dont have much luck with fish..... I have not tried to...

How many lost flies?

Being still new to the world of fly fishing i notice i lose alot of flies.. Generally when nymphing... Today we went out and i lost 7 or 8.. It annoys me but seems like i either snag bottom too much...

Just curious how guys are fishing wolly boogers and hoppers.. Last few times i went out i tried to fish them but not sure how to use them.. Dead drift? Little skipping action like a jig? Others?
