Re: I'm so tired of getting ripped off!

This is a ridiculous statement and the old saying about not discussing politics and religion at parties or dinners is silly.

Very sorry you lost your friend.

I lost my friend of 10 years a couple months ago and just few days ago I finally found a new friend.

Re: In search of big browns on the San Juan NM

I hooked one large brown the last time I was there (a few weeks ago) at the bottom of the lower flats. I lost him at the net but he would have been my biggest brown on a fly had I netted him.

Re: Difference in weight of built rod from mfg's specs

Nope, that's the listed spec for the whole rod. (Actually the listed spec for a 9' 8 wt is 3.2 ounces.)

I should weigh mine and see how true that is.

Re: Silver Label Roll-Downs vs Pro Guides...

Funny, I have a similar problem.

I'm short with a 28" inseam yet I have huge feet (10.5 - 11) so I always have to buy large or extra large waders with very long legs that bunch up around my knees...

Re: How Big of Fly is Big Enough?

He didn't "Catch it" like you are thinking.

The bass spawn is on in many places and I bet that bigger fish was trying to chase the smaller fish off it's bed.

These pictures show up almost every...

Re: How do you make streamer leaders?

For my 6 wt I use about 3' of 20# Flouro plus 2' of 12# Flouro.

For my 8wt I use about 30" of Flouro plus 2' of 20# Flouro plus 2' of 12# Flouro.

I'm just guessing the lengths since I just...
