Re: Paddleboard Fly Fishing for bass or pike or any fish?

This is the same as in NFO Drifter. You CAN wear studs in that, it's that thick. It doesn't feel like a inflatable. Most people are shocked when they find out it is.

Re: Paddleboard Fly Fishing for bass or pike or any fish?

It would have to be a bodacious hook to penetrate the hide on a NFO SUP. Stuff is serious thick.

Re: Almost there-the Fusion is on it's way

Joined a couple friends at Tibble this morning. Reason, it was close and seemed like a great place to try out the Fuzion. Plus a chance to use the 2 wt and 3 wt rods.
A little slow on the landing...

I bought some Ridgeline years ago and liked it very much except it had terrible memory.
I now have Selective Trout, Rio Gold, Rio Grand, Windcutter, Accelerator, various Orvis floating (which the...

Re: How do you fish a wolly booger?

Sort of. I do a V in the tippet. One side longer than the other so they are staggered. And Yes I fish two different colors all the time. Have caught several doubles too.

Re: SA Sharkwave

MY Icon 4100 loves it. To be honest, I recently got some Textured 4wt GPX and there is a difference in it and my 4wt GPX SS. The Texture floats like a cork, but it does not shoot as easy as the SS....

Re: The Addiction Continues

Thank you! There were three today. I was only there for an hour. Three hits on the dog biscuit but no hook-up. Laying them by the rod doesn't do them justice. The one next to the rod was 30".

Water is very off colored still here as well, Try a Dog Biscuit Fly and a small dropper like a glow bug or SJW. I have caught 3 off the dog biscuit this week. They are top feeding on leaves and...

Re: Almost there-the Fusion is on it's way

As Dave told me, the Fuzion is not for everyone. The rowing will be different. With winter hitting us again, my test run will be delayed unfortunately.

Re: Almost there-the Fusion is on it's way

For sure!. I was thinking however, the lean bar for our X 5 could be adapted. Like a door hinge and I already have the bar. Sky is the limit.

Re: Almost there-the Fusion is on it's way

I will definitely use an Ice chest or the trunk for the Assault XX front seat. Like Larry, not all that stable on my feet. I think one knee on the seat to get my balance.
But I was thinking...

Re: Paddleboard Fly Fishing for bass or pike or any fish?

I am getting the Fusion by NFO which is part of a SUP. I plan on standing and fishing plus bow hunting Carp.
I have several other pontoons, but I see this as perfect for the shallow weedy places.

Re: Best 5wt for $150?

I have tried TFO, St. Croix, Echo, & Redington, so I say go with the 8'6" Compass from Allen Fly Fishing and use the left over money for a killer line or a matching Allen Reel.

OH! Twisted leaders. That is cool, I think we all tried those...LOL. Kglissmeyer1 uses those too. They call them furled, but they are more twisted.

Re: Help with Furled Leaders

I could see using maybe using one on Hover or Intermediate if fishing really shallow, but only because of presentation.
The faster the sinking line, the shorter the leader.

Re: Help with Furled Leaders

I use straight Fluoro on my sinking lines. I see no reason for a tapered leader on them. In fact it could be a hindrance. Leader sinks at a different rate than the line forming a belly meaning...
