I love catching Gar on the Fly, especially top water. They put up a heck of a fight, while hooked as well as when trying to release em. My favorite was the one I caught on a Elk Hair Caddis :p

What part of Florida? Here in Central Florida I've always had good luck with an Olive Wooly Bugger, Heavy on the wooly. They are alot of fun on the Fly, as a matter of fact my biggest Speck ever was...

I know they're a lot of fun on the 5wt I would love to have an opportunity to catch one on a 3wt, seems like it would be an absolute blast. Now all I have to do is find a 3wt I can afford right now...

Actually he's a Black Crappie, we don't have White Crappie this far south in Florida, as far as I know we don't have any in Florida but I wouldn't be surprised to find out we have some in North...

Speck I just caught while out fooling around. I caught him on an old 6 weight Shakespeare Fly Rod I got at the Flea Market. He took a Black and Chartreuse Bream Killer about half an hour after dark....
