You would,nt believe how I miss a hook keeper on a rod. I got this BVK no hook keeper. I,m tempted to cut off a hook and glue it push down through the sponge into the cork grip. What you think.

I went up the river the other day and caught 2 sea trout, It started raining 4 days ago, the river is on real, some nice sea trout being caught on bait in the 2 and 3 lb range, The weather is weird...

How to use a steel

When sharping a filet knife with a steel, do you pull the edge away from the handle or push the knife edge toward the steel handle? Sounds stupid but I really don,t know, and i,ve used one for years.

I got a BVK 9ft 7# 4Piece I use a 8# 444 on it, Thats what I use. My XP, STS, Legend Elite Stays in the case. Do that tell you anything? I LIKE IT.

Got my rod about a week ago been fishing it ever since, It handles a 6# air flo ridge supply trout great, it handles a Cortland 444 7# great but IMO it cast a 8# 444 the best, all lines are WF-F....

No i,m here in NL Canada, still after the returning sea trout, man this is nerve racking, 4 and 5 lb trout jumping and you can,t hook one. I lov it ka.ka,ka, Rosco P coltrain.

Left the river early tonight, no good, smoke on the water, chilly tonight only had 4 rises before the sun went down. Ho well, better than none. Think it,s going to be a early winter.

Airflo Ridge WF-F

I use a ridge flotter line but I cut of the front loop off and use a nylon leader link by Eagle Claw. Works great, low strech. low friction I think they are great lines. Whats your opinon?Thanks
