I use krazy glue for glueing foam. As to painting wood poppers I use nail poish on jig heads, I am not sure I would use it on foam. For spots and eyes and things on foam I use sharpies.

For me its than 8'6" will fit corner corner in truck bed and a 9' won't so I like 8'6" if all else equal. That said I use 9'6" tip flex for eight weight.
