Yup,Bulk was the primary concern Fred , but Rip reminded and confirmed that the trek in is commonly on moose trails out east here , so I will be wearing waders and boots in. The ponds down in the Mt....

That quite a "pond" and looks like it was well worth the effort. The ones I went to in Pittsburgh were much smaller , you have probably been to them. I cannot remember the names to save my life....

Maine & NH are the spots , I have done a couple ponds in NH , access was pretty clear and not to far but I was not sure about Maine on wearing my waders & boots for a longer trek with the boat...

Mostly day trip.

Waders/boots/pack I am not sure if it would be better to deflate the tube or carry it in ready ? Shouldn't be more than a few mile hump.

I read an old post recommending Kelty packs for humping my gear to remote ponds. Would anyone know roughly how many cu. in. I should be looking for to fit my waders/boots/vest and I hope a cat float...
