Question Scott S4s series being replaced?

I've heard the S4s line is being dropped and replaced with a new series of rods. Anyone know if this is true or not?

My 5+ has none, you may want to go to a shop that carries them and see if those do the same. if they don't I would exchange it.

Curious where it says how many strands? Also no colors even in the stuff you recommend? Thanks for the website, figured others made the same stuff Hatch sells.

Seems this stuff isn't Gel Spun, thinner than Dacron but with the same texture. This is the stuff Hatch sells, I think Cortland has their version also. I'm sure others do, just know very little about...

Re: Bozeman reels

At 500 large I think they'll have a hard time selling reels. This puts it equal to a Hatch with the Hatch being a known quantity.

Re: Fly Rod question: what types was used in the river runs through it?

While I have never met either Borger, I did see Gary put on a brief casting demo at a fly fishing show in Maryland maybe 10 years ago. Indoors in a casting pool maybe 30' in length, he didn't use a...

Decided to put my Hatch 4+ up for sale

It's a hard call on my part, but in the end I want a bit more backing. I hate it because this is an amazing reel. Machining is a marvel.
