Well, I bought both rods for a little more than I expected, but I still think it was fair and the lady is happy.

I got the Eponite for 80$ and the Series 800 for 170$ (that's CAN).

Echo has a new rod for 2015 called the Echo Base... I think its around 90$! Not a lot of reviews yet but Tim Rajeffs rod can generally take a beating!!

They do have the metal ferrules and Series 800 has a Gold plated tip and stripping guide. Really nice rods! The series 800 looks out of the box.

Three weeks back, I was near Calgary and bulls (18'' to 25'') were hitting big black cone head wooly buggers like crazy...Big streamers are the way to go.

This fish is a butterfly mirror koi... A little football shaped, but an old fish for sure!

Koi get much larger than goldfish and can get bigger than that.

Goldfish do not have the same terminal...
