Don't overpower, make sure you are making the "sudden stop", let your line roll out and "load the rod". Rod tip should travel in a straight line, not in a arc. These are the bits of advice that...

Not sure what they are called, but when I do decide to go with an indicator, I use those little foam floats with the toothpick stop. Very quick n easy to adjust. Think I've used the same one for 3...

TFO Pro II is a good rod in my experience. I have the 8'6" 4wt.

Anyone know of a affordable magnifier/ light for tying? As I get a little older I notice they get harder to see lol. As a last resort I'm going to try those large magnifying reading glasses lol....

I have 3 or 4 boxes arranged differently. 1 has some streamers, beetles, ants etc along with the standard menu for trout but mostly nymphs with 1 or 2 rows of dries like some Adams, BWO... Just in...

I have a spinning rod that I won't ever part with, but the fly rod I would keep would be my Shakespeare 8' 5/6wt Walmart special. For one thing, no one would want it, isn't worth any $$ to sell it....
