No where close to the number of snags I got conventional fishing. That and the EPA deemed bait anglers to be bad for the environment.

What's a good weighted line and rigging methods for a 5wt. to relatively shallow lake waters? Footage is between 5-9ft. with light current. I'm using weighted/nonweighted streamers and leeches.

Yah Ontario Airport possibly the closest Int. Airport and thats at 6 hr. Drive north. Mammoth/Bishop is pretty remote. Unless you could get a ticket to Mammoth airport without taking out a mortgage....
