While both rods are made in China the CT and Finesse series from TFO are very reasonable rods in the 30-40 distance. I am assuming you have the 8'6" 4 in the CT and I think the Finesse is 8'9" 4 ? I...

Go with the 8'6" 4 CT better balance than 9' in my hands . Latter was tip heavy but should have considered heavier reel! I love the 8'6" in all of the configurations 3/4/5

S&S is dead on the money with his views . I obtained via a guide T&T LPS II 8'6" 4 which aesthetic is nicest commercial rod I own and rivals many of my custom builds. Maybe not bling like agate...
