Re: Sunglasses Hard Sided Case..?

Universal Hardcase 85 (http://www.tacticaltailor.com/universalhardcase85.aspx) First choice, malice straps allow you keep it on the strap of your bag instead of in it should you so choose. Survived...

Re: Recent front range reports...

The funnest days I have had there are when it is terribly cold and MAYBE two other folks are on the water too. I won't play the wind game though.
I will be out Thur-Sun most likely if you want to...

Re: Clear Creek - Denver section

You stand a decent chance of running into a deer or occasionally an elk on your map there, but probably not a trout. There are warm water fish in those ponds, and a scoosh further west on ward you...

Re: NRX 10wt: Airflo vs Rio

I don't know anything about the lines you speak of, but i do have four of their super dri lines in trout sizes and like them well enough. They also have a 5year warranty on all their lines, and send...

Re: Adding studs/cleats to felt?

That seems like a reasonable and inexpensive thing to try, I might give it a whirl. I am also unaware as to if an alulminum screw actually exists, I wouldn't think that they do.

Adding studs/cleats to felt?

My friend just got some women's headwaters boots that have the rubber sole, they fit her best by far and she/we were hesitant about the rubber sole. So she added 7 alumabite cleats to each (thanks...

Re: 5 wt Hardy Zenith

40' is an educated guess based on getting about 10-15' of the secondary color of the airflo line out, and then adding in the leader and tippet. No clue if the "i cast _____ distance!" typically...

Re: 5 wt Hardy Zenith

I got the newly acquired 10/3 out Saturday and landed a bunch of 10-12" feisty chunky bows and a few 18-20" bows south on I25. Absolutely exactly what I was looking for to compliment my 10/4 Zenith,...

Re: Forbidden Gadgets

I have the regular and the midge size release tool and go to them before hemos if my fingers don't get it the first try or two. I have found it works best by providing some tension on the tippet...

I have them and am quite pleased. When I got them I spent about 10min using them side by side with the abels at the little abel display thing on the counter that has spools of tippet in it. ...

Re: 5 wt Hardy Zenith

Yes, but $649 is a lot more than the $300-400 it is/was taking to acquire a skeletal reel seat model. It makes me wonder if the top end/expensive rod mystique and all its grandeur excludes Zenith...

Re: 5 wt Hardy Zenith

It will be interesting to see how the perception of the Zenith will change, if at all, once all the skeletal reel seat rods are gone, and the only option is the full price burl reel seat. I say this...

Re: 5 wt Hardy Zenith

Ha i thought from your PMs your trip would be a little more than a look-see. I added the 10/3 the other day, named Thetis, to compliment the Mellow the 10/4 I have had most of the year.

That solves the color problem...

Re: Brodin Davidson Trout Bum net?

Totally overthinking it....
I have used the larger pontoon fisknats, as well as a brodin cutthroat on the sling pack. It will be no different from the net being on the back of a vest, and spinning...

Re: Going downstream or upstream

I have no problem moving upstream in/near the water while fishing, unless I approach a back eddy that I think the trout will be backwards in. If I have to move downstream, I tend to walk around out...
