1999 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L. 4x4, 179,000+ miles. Unfortunately no one will ride in it with me. 11 years of running my two Chocolate labs 2-3x a day in the woods and swamps meant it became too tiresome...

Re: When and where for small mouth?

Now I've...

Re: orvis trident tls mid flex 6.5 5wt 8.5'

Re: Love this new rod

Was seriously considering a new 1wt. Superfine but hit on a deal for a 2wt. Trident 8'4" that was impossible to pass up......On the otherhand, it's not a 1wt. :shades: Guess what I'm thinking?

Re: Do Fake Winstons Exist?

Just for the record....

There are few top-end company products that you can name that are not counterfeited at one time or another from the most insignificant to life and death important, and...

Re: Looking to add another rod...

Though granted you can never have "too many" rods, flies, reels, etc., I'd suggest (at least for myself) skipping at least one size. IOW a 3wt. and the thinking of going to a 7'9" sounds like a good...

Re: Question on my new laptop

No kidding, I can't stand those touch screens!......Everytime I touch the screen of my Commodore PET it gets smudges on it!

One day I'll upgrade to a 64.....but right now, that's just dreaming.

Re: what are the first flies to buy?

I'd agree with mridenour.....at 50 cents a fly and in a nice box, besides top level flies you'll NEVER find a better deal that will give you an excellent start.

Re: New guy introduction/need some help!

Personally, I'm going with RipTide's first post. You already have the rod, and frankly 12" is not going to make that big of a difference at this stage of the game. Don't get me wrong, there will be...

Re: Mystic Fly Rods....

Agree 100%....Though I'm rather new here, intimate knowledge of such matters would lend itself very well to understanding what is going on with a rod.

Perhaps I'm speaking out of ignorance here, yet I've had a number of shoulder injuries so it makes me wonder, "what if you didn't involve your shoulder so much"?

What i mean by that is, typically...
