A newbie here...given the choice do you hike up the stream and fish downstream or fish upstream and hike back? ... Looking at section 4 of chattooga

Thanks Ard...nice story and well told...will keep it in mind when on the river with my dog...kinda a thinking of tying him to about 10th lead and stay in one spot... Pain in the ... To get him undone...

New to fly fishing... Spent some time last fall scouting section 4 of the chattooga with my g retriever...stopped and fished some from the banks and no problem with the dog staying put. Question is...
